Research the outcome of a recent UK criminal trial (from the last six years) where someone has been convicted (found guilty) – you need to make notes on the following:

Science is happening all around you right now! Pick ONE everyday item in your room (like your smartphone, a bottle of shampoo, or a bag of crisps) and answer these three quick questions:

1. The Materials: What key elements or materials is it actually made from?
2. The Process: How does science make it work or keep it fresh? (Hint: think about energy, chemical reactions, or packaging!)
3. The Future: How could science make this product more eco-friendly or recyclable?

How to complete it: Jot down your three answers in a note on your phone or on paper. Bring them along to your first session next week so we can jump straight in!
