WHAT YOU'LL STUDY
Over the two-year course, four units will be taught, two will be examination-based and two will be assignment-based, all of which are mandatory.
The first year units: Information Technology Systems and Website Development. The second year units: Cyber Security & Incident Management and Relational Database Development.
As well as the standard classroom learning experience, you will also have access to guest speakers and visits to industry-leading businesses in the Manchester area and beyond. You will be assessed through a combination of internal and external assessments.
FUTURE CAREER OPPORTUNITIES
Many students go on to study at university in fields such as: computer science, cyber security, artificial intelligence, software engineering, health informatics, project management and teaching. The course also leads to a wide range of employment and apprenticeship options.
