What to do and when in order to apply to join us in September 2027.

September 2026

Applications open on Tuesday 1 September. Apply online. 

We’ll be visiting schools, presenting in Year 11 assemblies and attending careers fairs to tell you everything you need to know about Connell. Come along and chat to us about our courses, entry requirements or anything else you’d like to know!

October 

We have an open evening on Thursday 15 October, from 4–7.30pm. Register to attend. Come and visit us; see our college and facilities; speak to our teachers about our courses; and speak to our students about life at Connell. We’ll still be visiting schools.

November 

Our priority deadline is Monday 9 November. If you apply before this deadline, you may be invited to a pre-Christmas interview.

December 

Priority interview evenings take place the week commencing Saturday 5 December. Meet the priority deadline (9 November) and you may get an invitation.

January 2027

Application deadline is Friday 15 January. Apply before this deadline, and you may be invited to an interview during the winter/spring.

February 

Interview evenings take place the week commencing Monday 1 February. Meet the application deadline (15 January) and you may get an invitation.

July 

We'll invite you to attend a new starter induction after your exams on Friday 9 July. This will give you a chance to visit us before the summer, meet your potential new classmates, and ask any final questions about joining us in September.

August 

We enrol on GCSE results day, Thursday 19th, Friday 20th and Monday 23rd. Students who hold an offer will be invited to enrol at a specific date and time. We'll email you instructions during the summer. Please don't book a holiday over these days!

Don't worry if you change your mind about what you want to study, we'll help you choose new subjects on the right path for your chosen career.

Those who've not applied through our usual process may still be able to enrol. Keep an eye on our enrolment page for all the details, dates and what to bring to enrol (to be updated spring 2027).
